Meet the Founder

Decades of observing nature - its textures, forms, and inherent balance, have shaped his way of seeing and designing. Years spent as an interior designer refined this perspective further, grounding it in a deep understanding of geometry, proportion, and how objects truly belong within living and working environments.

Through extensive experience designing interiors, he developed an instinct for spatial flow, material harmony, and the subtle dialogue between form and function. He does not create objects in isolation; every piece is conceived with the larger environment in mind, ensuring it integrates seamlessly and enhances the character of a space.

His work brings the quiet intelligence of the natural world into people’s homes - intuitive, restrained, and enduring. Thoughtful, sustainable choices in materials and production allow this connection to feel effortless, without excess or compromise.

The Team

Aartdeco is shaped by a close-knit team of designers, makers, and craftsmen - and guided by two who see the brand from opposite ends of the same vision. Apratim Kejriwal and Sheel Bhatia bring distinct instincts that meet in the middle of every piece we make.

Apratim carries the brand's outward sense. He is the one who sees how others see - reading desire, translating craft into something people recognise and want. His is the work of showing the truth of a piece, of making its character legible to the world.

Sheel turns intention into object. She sees the piece through - ensuring beauty is not just imagined but delivered, that what is promised is what arrives. Where Apratim shapes how the work is understood, Sheel ensures the work itself holds up to every claim made for it.

Between them, form meets function and story meets substance. Designers refine proportion, artisans bring materials to life, and our production teams hold each detail to the highest standard - but it is this balance of vision and execution that gives the process its direction.
